3 1/4 rain last night

Western Rock Island County, Ill. Storms in the night, power was off several times. Went out and checked rain guage about 3:15 this AM, 3 1/4 inches. More water coming down the big muddy . Chris

About what we got here Chris.3" of rain.

Wait till about Mon. when the Iowa and the Cedar crests get down there.

It is deep up here.

If you have any friends around Columbus Junction tell them to get to high ground.

Columbus Jct. is were the Cedar and Iowa meet before they get to the Mississippi.

Lots of water.

I've been using the internet to follow the rain and high water problems, really concerned for everyone up there. I don't remember whether it was Wisconsin or Iowa that had declared 55 of the 99 counties in the state a disaster area. No end to the rain until early next week. Lots of folks losing homes, farms, livestock, etc. Saw one picture of cattle herded on the deck to the house and the water was just a foot below the deck. Unless they got some relief, those cows are swimming now. People have been killed driving into a gap in a road that was washed out and not marked because police didn't know it and it wasn't closed off. My heart goes out to all of you who are taking a beating right now.

Reports out of the Ludington, MI area of up to 7" last evening. Roads washed out, trees down, roof blown from convenienve store, other damage. Possibly a tornado as well. We got a rousing .003" !

I haven't measure it yet but I have gotten at least that much since last night and its still coming down. I'm at the lake of the Ozarks in Missouri
