9N Ford Questions

Hi,
NEED HELP
I just got a 9N (1940 I think) tractor and it was worked great...but I was blading my drive and it seemed to cut out a bit after about 30 minutes,,I thought I was out of gas or getting low so I headed back to the house. I barely made it up the hill because it was loosing power. The only thing that I could do was push the clutch in a let the motor rev up the go about 20 feet and keep doing this til I got up the hill...Since then It hasent started and I ran the battery down. Any ideas ??

see if she starts in teh morning, if it does and then seems to do the same thing,, it is likely your coil on top of the dist, the front mounts have a tendency of going like that,, once the cool down the tar allows it to operate as usual , untill it heats up again,,

run time is about right for the coil , easy fix 30 bucks 10 minutes,

if it doesnt start this morning, id first check the fuel at the carb, undo the square headed plug on the bottom of the float bowel, should have a steady stream, if no fuel check the screens should be 1 in the tank on the pickup tube, 1 in the sediment bowel, and 1 in the elbow on the carb where the fuel line goes in, post back with what you find then

If it wasn't charging, and the battery is low.. it won't fire the coil, or run the starter motor..
