Need a Long 610 injector pump removal expert

Dealer says will slip right out after you take all lines and the 3 nuts that hold it on. I took all off and it comes out easy 1/16 inch then stops. Will not come out of gear. Do you have to go in under plate on front of pump drive and do something???? Thanks LB

Take the cover off the front of the timing case right in front of the pump. There is a 19mm nut in the middle of the gear. Turn in counter clock wise. It will get tight in about a turn after it gets broke loose. Keep turning and it will pull the gear off the pump shaft.The pump will go right back on if you dont jump the gear mesh.

Thanks for that info. Also on the gear are 2 bolts that hold a round plate on. What is that for? Do I just leave these as they are? LB
