Hi everybody. This is a first time post, and I need some advise. It seems I have a soil borne desease in my garden and it's killing all my tomato plants. Any advise on what I can do to save my garden would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help...Rusty Wheel

I would ask your county extension agent. Tomatoes can have a variety of diseases. (including aphids and other harder to see pests. If potatoes, egg plant, and other night shade plants are OK, then it might not be "soil borne" JimN

I've read that you CAN plant tomatoes in the same place every year. I do and haven't had any problems.

Most (all?) home gardeners do not have the space to make "crop rotation" practical and valuable. Diseases and bugs can easily migrate in a little 1/4 acre or even 1 acre patch.

There's things that you can do well in gardening that are tough to scale up to farming; and there's things you do in farming that are tough to scale down to gardening. Rotating crops is one of those things that's tough to scale down.
