Hey guys-here in southern Wisconsin we are at 9 inches of rain in the last 24 hours.Alot of roads closed and corn and beans washing away.Wait it out and see what happens.Just needed to relieve some stress guys.Mike

One of those years. Here in s.w. Pa fields are wet, ground cold. I've already parked the discbine and heavy tractor & got out the (lighter) haybine and mowing with a utility with 16.9 tires. Still leaving tracks and having to ted 24 hrs after mowing. Every field around here has a wet spot, even the hilltop fields. If it were easy, everyone would do it. We farmers are tough.

There's only so much water in the world. If one region has too much, another region has not enough.

This is true......
Last year when every one was crying for rain we had plenty.
We have been getting our share this year but it seems to be coming in short; spaced out gully washers rather than our constant afternoon shower every day. Sure has made it hot and dry without them.
Since we average over 5" per month I feel we could share and still be OK. LOL

Around here we think 2" on rain over a couple of hour is an unusual storm and causes wide spread flooding.
9 inches of rain? Couldn"t imagine the devistation. It would be worse than a warm spring rain melting the winter snow.

Shoot for the year we are 14 inches over normal. And now we are in a flood watch again for the 100th plus time this year. It would not be so bad if we got a little at a time but when you get 2-5 inches in less then 24 hours its trouble
