I just got a price -quote for 500 gallons on the northern tip of the lower peninsula (Presque Isle County, MI). $2.29 per gallon.

I've got one for you guys, I just use a gas fireplace for supplemental to my Geothermal about 100gallons for the season and my longtime supplier wanted to charge me $4.07a gallon and I said that was price gouging and they said there is no price gouging rules yet and virtually laughed in my face so I said stick it where the sun don't shine I'll switch to wood first! They also wanted to charge tank rental at $50 a year not mention any names but it was Ferrelgas SHHHH!

Ferrill gas in Oklahoma is the absolute highest price in the state. They are also known to be crooks - many, many formal complaints.

My son ,central MI, just yesterday got a letter from the very same company telling him his next fill would be $2.65 per gal.!!! He has 8 acres of nice tall hardwoods and there are still places giving away hardwood tops around here. Migh as well build a boiler and splitter. This is one "cheap convenience" we can kiss good-bye.

Talked to the guy who supplies my Father-in-Law with gas. He was cleaning the tank for a paint job. He said LP was $2.20/ gallon then. This is in Southwest Missouri 20 miles north of Springfield MO.

NW. energy wants $2.50/gallon from me starting this fall for the pre-buy. I hate propane.
