Buddy of mine been hauling wood for 30yrs bought new Western Star tractor 2yrs ago to pull his pulp trailer with.Pawments 800 bucks a month.State cop pulled him over other day and had him weighed.Got ticket for 845$.Said to cop,How am I gonna pay this?Cop says,Not my problem.Doug goes over to his truck comes back and hands him the keys and said,It it now!Turned around and walked home! Hoss
 
Problem is if the cop had the rig towed, your buddy will now owe for towing charges, storage charges, the $800 payment on the rig, and the $845 for the ticket. No win situation. Sorry for your buddy"s problems.
 
Probably the truck will be impounded, and will not be released until the fine, towing charges, and impound fees are paid. Eventually, it will go to auction, and then someone will get it cheap.
 
Sometimes a fella has to stand his ground and pride has a price. Heck, one fella bulldozed his own house and pushed it into to two piles over a divorce.

Push hard enough, and folks will push back.

Let me know the auction date, I'll buy it for whats owed against it in storage and fines! Thats just dumd, walking away from a big money rig like that over a ticket. Pride is a stupid thing thats caused alot of even dumber things.
 
Well yes all that is right but he will also lose his liscense for not paying the ticket. Not a smart move at all.
