John Deere 345 coolant leak

I have a coolant showing up on of the jugs of the kawasaki v-twin. No water in oil so I'm hoping it's a hose. Anyone know of a resource or manual on the web?

I've never worked on this machine before but it's pretty cluttered and I can't really see where I need to. Figured I'd request some advice before I started.

I found the site with a google search, hope no one minds talking about a modern machine.

Thnaks in advance.

Commonly, the gasket between the engine front cover and the block fails, leaking coolant.

Could be the water pump, as well.

There's no hoses that I can think of that connect the combustion chamber to the cooling system.

Sounds like you have the heads off. Do both pistons look alike, or is one of them fairly clean? Check for blown head gasket on the clean one. Could be a fairly small "bad spot" on the gasket.

Thanks for the reply.

A little more looking turns up the engine is a Kawasaki V-Twin Liquid Cooled 20hp OHV John Deere K Series model # FD620D

It looks like your right about the engine cover.

I'll keep you informed as I get through it.

Thanks a lot.

It looks like a gear driven water pump according to the jd website so who knows where the water is going to if the pump leaks.
