Only pea-sized hail, but man it came down heavy! Yard and driveway is all green from high wind, hail and BIG water drops beating the heck outa leaves in trees.

Glad we got everything planted last week!

Awful spotty rain this spring.

Ellendale & BP area planted a little sooner than us 'cause less rain.Just a hop, skip, jump away.

Had dime sized hail here, then really big rain drops then a quick downpour. My crops are loving it, my friends farm we would need 4-5 days of sun and windy days, then maybe, maybe we could get in the feild again. Close to 150 acres that needs to be planted yet. I was in the woods pounding fence post when that 1st storm hit. Got to love them big old oaks for shelter. I have, repeat have to get that fence done and get the cows out there. Just plain running out of hay, no one seems to have any yet, and there isnt any being made around here yet.

I was spraying the beans (preemerge) this afternoon by New Ulm. Little tractor, small 3pt sprayer, nothing else would work in the fields yet. Mostly sunny, the clouds were north of me. Watched the commotion up north on TV, today was clean-up day with 1000 volineers to pick up the tornado mess at hugo, looked like 2 cells of bad weather went right around them again.

Dave please be careful under those large oaks in a thunderstorm. They provide lots of shelter but are also a magnet for a lightning strike.I'm sure you already know this and sometimes a man gets caught.I once lost nine cows under one tree.

We had 1 3/10 of an inch which is ok for some beans were put into lumpy ground, no nasty stuff in sw Mn but some in SD, most planting done some beans to go in, I have a few mudholes to put corn in yet, late start here but corn is coming up just need warm weather now for hay and pasture.

I was in Rochester yesterday [friday] when a hail storm went thru. I was on the south side of town and the hail was pea sized. Center and north of town they had golfball sized hail. Sure glad I was not under it.

I live in south central Mn just east of Le Sueur. We had 6/10 from Thurs to Sat. No hail, but was close to some. Now the question I have, what ever happened to the sqwaul line of thunder storms coming out of the SW and head to the NW with heavy rain, some wind and then it is over and a rainbow comes out. Now they come out of the NW and head SE, and every stinking little cloud has hail, wind and maybe a tornado, is this what we have to put up with all summer. I know this is the time of year for the strong stuff, but not his much. Seems like years ago that it was a rarity to see hail, only in the biggest of storms, but now it is all the time.

It is going to be an interesting year, with the growing of crops, marketing those crops, fuel prices, then throw in the politics.......boy are we in for a lot of fun.........can't wait.
