Does someone know what the difference between a 901 and a 961 is? I believe the 6 designated live PTO. Anyone know for sure?

Thanx!

Norm

901 is the series number of the tractor and the 961 is the model number. In the 901 series theres a good number of models. The most common ones are the 941, 951, 961, 971 and 981. There are a few other models also. And yes a 961 has a 2 stage clutch giving it fords style of live PTO

As mentioned , 901 is the series, 961 is a specific model inthat series - a 961 would have the 172 cu in engine (9), 5 speed transmission and 2 stage clutch to give live pto (6) and be built 1957-1962 (1).
