And everyone was laughing when he was using his graphs and pointer. Turns out ol big ears was right on the money, NAFTA was a huge mistake and everything he said is coming true. Now for the tractor/farming question. I have been all over Indiana recently and have not seen one plow. Everything has been disc. Since I'm not a farmer I thought someone might take a minute to educate me a little and explain why this is? Is a plow some how harder on the soil, more gas to pull a plow or ? Thanks for your time

There are several reasons, depending on what part of the US we are talking about, but the main reason we don't plow around here anymore is because of soil erosion. The plow makes the soil too black and there's no trash left on top to hold it from blowing or washing away. Some farmers aren't allowed to plow even if they want to if their soil is classified as highly erodable.Jim

I wouldn't be surprised if the ground wasn't disked, but was tilled in the fall with a disk-ripper or disk-chisel. More likely in the spring someone used a soil finisher or one of the newer vertical tillage tools. Only one neighbor in his mid-eighties uses a disk.

Ol' Ross is not crazy, as the media/govt portrayed him.. He was not scared to expose the truth.. Remember the USDA thing, about " My Farmer died" ? I would vote for Ross in Nov..

Ross Perot offered classes on how to cheat the people/gov/market on deregulated electricity. He is probably the single author on billions of dollars of theft. While his classes may not have been illegal, I always wondered why anybody in the class or giving the class didn't report it to any justice department.

He got Bill Clinton elected President as his major accomplishment. In my opinion he was like Ron Paul pretty good at IDing problems but their solutions have a lot to be desired.

Plowing turns the soil and the crop residue. Can cause some serious erosion problems if your not careful cause there will be nothing left to slow the water down when it starts to run. Its also a slower process than chisel plowing or disking as you describe.

Actually NAFTA has created more jobs than were lost, but they are a different type of job.Not manufacturing jobs.It also got 11 and 12 year old Mexican kids good jobs in Mexico carrying concrete block, meanwhile the fathers were sneaking over the border taking our work. But dont worry the contractors are killing them off slowly with bad scaffolding and faulty crane set up.We will make steel again, yeah ok.
