We have a 1466 in here, the problem is that when he hooks on to an implement the hydraulics will raise the the 3 point up just fine. The problem is it wont go back down. Am I on the right track, now the lift cylinder is like most tractors..it only had fluid on one side (lifting) and the control valve releases that pressure to make the 3 point come down. Control valve issue? or linkage out of adjustment? Is this a common problem. Thanks

Very common problem.

Probably been bouncin' down the road with a real heavy load on the hitch?

Remove the center link and unbolt that cover plate that it pins to. Inside, you'll see that the sensing linkage that goes down to the torsion bar has flipped around to the wrong side of the finger.

Either that or the u-bolt down on the bar has broke or come loose.

Betcha you'll have it up and going in less than an hour.

Great Ill try it when I get back, I have to deliver an 8N and pick -up a Ferguson 30, and not get wet - T storms.

Also found the front axle cradle was coming loose on it, 1 bolt broke- missing the other 3 very loose. He had the same thing that happened to Walt Davies 1066. He went throgh that 2 years ago.

I will keep you posted.
