f-14 starting tank

what did the original f-14 starting tank filler neck/cap look like. Was it a threaded cap or a cap with two tabs like the fuel tank?? I have a tank that is missing (rusted away) neck.

It had 2 tabs like the fuel tank, the cap looks a lot like the gas cap, but is much smaller. You can get a good cap for that tank from Steiner Tractor Parts, if you need one.

I am talking about the starting tank in the hood, if yours has the starting tank in the large fuel tank, it is the same cap as the gas tank.

I have a cap from a M starting tank on mine.

Our F-12 cap was brass, a (prox.5/8") hex nut on top with a small (prox.1/16") vent hole drilled in side of nut, vented to tank (prox.5/8")over-all cap length.
