Mustang 940 skid steer

I have a Mustang 940E w/ a blown Yanmar diesel. Anyone had any luck getting another diesel to fit? Yanmars are not rebuildable. I'd like to go to Kubota.

A yanmar engine is rebuildable, we did a few at the place I work. At work we are the local mustang dealer and maybe we can help, e-mail me if you are interested. mjjk

Yes Yanmars are rebuildable, wet sleeves and all, Kubotas are parent bore meaning a machine shop has to bore and sleeve these.

You've got that backwards. Kubotas are bored and yanmars are sleeved.

yanmars are better engines than kubotas.

My 960 has an Isuzu motor in it. You might find one of those that would fit. I know you can still buy them new on ebay, but they are expensive, about $4000
