Old Iron Tour

Took a few minutes to walk through the woods yesterday while waiting for the Massey to warm up. Lots of old iron to look at sheltered from the Sask. winds by the
trees. Last time I posted some video of this old stuff I recall somebody questioning my sanity for keeping it all. Well it makes me happy.

You should do this, you should do that, why don't you, your being foolish, that's so dumb. All comments from others that would like to tell you how to run your life. Well its my life and I do with it as I please, thank you very much, for your concern, but, keep your opinions to your self. There, I said what you may have been thinking, maybe not. I enjoyed the tour, sounds like you enjoy reminiscing. Merry Christmas Rusty 6 gobble

Your block heaters work a whole lot better than the 4 I have on my compacts (3 Kubotas and a JD). I have one tank heater in the cab heater line on one Kubota, a freeze plug heater on a Kubota and a JD and a lower radiator hose heater on the other Kubota. All are in an unheated barn and all are covered with an old quilt or blanket. They all take about 2 hrs. to make starting a lot easier. I should add, all 4 will start without the heater, but sure don't like it accept for the 2015 BXDLB. It will start ok but it sounds so much happier with the heater.

Size of the heater makes the difference. This 1500 watt will have the head warmer than summer in half an hour in this weather. If its seriously cold I'll give it at least an hour on the heater before trying. Its only a single battery cranking the old Perkins too.

Yes, that is pretty much what I was thinking. The older I get, the less I care if somebody doesn't approve of my methods. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas too.

What I only have a 43 years of collecting so I can't have very much right?? 30 plus tractors the smallest being the Cat 950 articulating loader and the biggest being maybe the David Bradly walk behind. Plus 7 motorcycles 10 plus trucks and a number of cars and even a school bus

At 80*, the B7100, F2000 and 1145 all still need working glow plugs. After a couple of hours my
blocks are at about 140* and even the hydraulic pumps don't whine. I also really like the smart
plugs. I just turn the heater on when I get up in the morning and by the time I've had my coffee
and breakfast, everything is ready to go.

I got a trailer and a chainsaw for the KB 3. Be a loooong ride though. Thanks for the walk about. That is an interesting barn and they must have done something right to have it last so long

The pickup bed that the trailer is made out of is a '67: no marker lights on the sides at the rear.
Sounds right to me. I can remember when the original owner bought that truck and it was pretty close to the first of that series in the area as I recall.

(quoted from post at 07:36:18 12/22/23) Interesting reply. I just re-read all the comments, and not one tells him what he should or should not do or do differently.
Interesting isn't it? And no such comments in the video replies either. Guess some know me by now and don't bother. In fact we are working on getting that KB3 box chipped out of the frozen ground and sending it to a new home possibly today.

Ok, I spoke too soon. Some guy just commented on the video that I'm stupid. Well maybe so but at least I'm happy.
We worked on getting the IH truck box unstuck from the ground today and had some success. Its going to a new home but something else is coming to take it's place. :)
