This is another segment from the Gehl 1160 front mount merger video & I like it the best out of all on the tape. Good views, good audio & heavy hay! Think the Auto Maxx got a good workout there, too!

Enjoy!!

I went back and watched a couple. The 1948, 1958, and 1967 video are enjoyable. Its interesting to see the variety of tractors shown in the harvest videos along with the vintage landscape and farmyards. We fret too much about HP and its surprising to see a home built tractor doing its job ahead of the Gehl. I watched some harvester videos last night with corn dogs. Is it possible you were a Gehl employee or dealer?

Wasn't a dealer or employee, no sir. Gehl was a hometown company & I'm very familiar with them. Once I started helping out more at the Richfield tractor show, I took more interest in Gehl once the company donated a bunch of their museum pieces to the historical society. Had no idea they had any of that stuff, nor did I know Gehl has their own little mini museum on the property in West Bend. Then, when Gehl donated the films, slides & videos a couple years ago.... I could resist the temptation to curate no longer.

I got a kick out of the home built tractor on the chopper, too! That was really neat to see. Also liked seeing the 2N on the chopper.

In my area all you ever heard of in Gehl was the forage harvestor, blower and self unloading chopper wagons. Never even knew they made anything else. And those 3 items was all the local Gehl dealer ever handled. Used machinery of other brands.

I worked on a farm that used one. They had it on the front of a 4655? JD and used a puny Gehl 600 chopper. They choppe3d hay all summer long for the 300 cows. I was the cow guy so i never did any field work.
