the tractor ran when i got it . very poor but ran. had to replace head gasket .valves all seated good .put it back together . I cant seem to get fuel past the injector pump. Simms #70s380 . vacume type . Shouldn't it shoot fuel out the top of pump itself ? Theres fuel at the bleeder but not to injector.. any ideas would be appreciated thanks david

Hello David welcome to YT! Yes, if by ..out the top..
that means to the injector lines yes. You may be
surprised how small the amount is. How long has it
been setting while you did this work? Hopefully you did
not have biodiesel in it. That stuff is very bad at
sticking pump parts when they set, I have heard of it
happening in 3-4 months time. If you get any amount
of fuel moving out of the injector supply fittings
tighten them to the pump and break them loose at the
injector up on the head and if you get fuel up to that
point tighten them down then it should start firing. If
you are getting no fuel out of the IJ pump and it has
fuel coming out of the housing bleeder then you are
probably unfortunately going to have to get the pump
checked out. There is a guy on here who runs an
injection pump repair business, many members here
ship pump to him in Indiana to have them repaired. His
charges are reasonable and always hear good things
from satisfied customers. He posts as Dieseltech,
many he will chime in.

[quo. Top of the pump is all . not thru the lines . I keep thinking I'm missing the obvious. I'm going to try to get hold of the man that rebuilds.
