Woods 7500 backhoe and 4020 JD

I m wanting a 3pt backhoe attachment that has its own hyd. System/pump that will work on my 4020. Not a everyday use just to use around the farm for various dirt work. Dont want to spend $10,000 on something new and way bigger than I need that will only get used a few times a year. I have found a Woods 7500 will it work on a 4020

Im not familiar with this model but as long as it has its own hydraulic system you shouldnt have any problems.

I did a little poking around. If it's the 3pt mounted version it's Category 1. Might be a little small for your 4020.

They appear to be meant for 20-40HP compact tractors.

I think your model number indicates the reach of the hoe. My Woods 1050 is a ten foot reach which is decent for most small farm jobs. I think a 750 would be 7 foot reach which in my opinion is kinda small for most of the jobs that I tackle. I like my Woods backhoe and it has saved me a bunch of spade work! I use it on my 6415 which is similar in size to a 4020.

Just remember all that weight is hanging from the top link, and I would not recommend picking up the rear of tractor and shift it using the boom. I have an Arps 80 on my 8n and they are a fairly good match. It may not be as fast as the big boys but it gets the job done.
