One of my all time favourite tractors. I have spent a few hours of my life servicing and driving a number of these and they still give me a warm glow when I see or drive one. Once in the Rest-O-Ride seat and looking down that bonnet that really felt special.

It's one of my all time favorites too. When I was a kid, Ford was the nearest dealer. They sold one of those that made its way through a few owners, but always stayed local until Gene passed away and it went to Kansas or Nebraska after his sale. I never thought it was special because it was always around, but I sure wish now that I'd bought it and kept it here.

This one is not a pivot steer. The idea came from the County Four-Track of 1954 which was a skid steer tractor made for the sugar cane industry who wanted a crawler that could run on the roads.

Their limitation was a very small steering lock although they would turn reasonably well if you used the brakes as well. Drive comes from the bull pinion shafts through twin prop shafts to each front wheel, so you get four wheel dif. lock and four wheel braking.
