Chrome front wheels for John Deere 4010

Does anyone know who sells chrome wheels for the front of a John Deere 4010 using the original hubs or do I have to change hubs to get a more standard wheel?[/b]

Ask on the tractor pulling board, some one will know.
One thing that can cause you lots of problems is the
center hole(register) must be the right size. I
watched a guy buy three different sets of wheels
before he bought the wheels that were made for his IH,
and he hasn't broken a wheel since. And if you want
really nice chrome wheels buy new rims and have them
plated. Every little pit will show up if you chrome
used wheels.

Should be the standard 6-bolt on 6" circle implement pattern so no. Nobody makes chrome wheels for that.

You will have to get them made or figure out what, if any, vehicle hub and combination of wheel bearings will fit on the spindles of your tractor.

Check with a puller or a pulling sanctioning organization or even racing sanctioning organization. They should be able to direct
you to a business that does chroming. Used to be common in the east coast cities but environmental agencies have pushed a number
out of business.

I bet it's not NEAR as easy to find a chrome plate shop as most
of you guys think. I bought chrome plating on copper & brass
parts for several years of my 30 years of purchasing. The 5
Millionth FARMALL 1066 had chrome plated frt wheels, that was
several years before my time at FARMALL and I have NO idea who
Farmall used, and the bigger question is whether or not the
plater is still in business.
I think I'd look for a couple spray cans of fake chrome
paint. If you do find a chrome plated I'm sure the price will
be sky high!
