MF255 will start and run for about 10 minutes, then revs and shuts off. It has plenty of fuel. Air filter is fine. After it shuts off the only way to get it to restart is to bleed the fuel pump, and injectors. Then it will crank and start and run for a bit and shut off again. It seems like it is getting air in the system but I am not sure where. Any ideas??

The fuel filter is new, I changed it out when it first started doing this. Also changed the fuel lines. I drained the fuel tank and checked the wire filter at the bottom of the tank. All of those are good. I have not checked the banjo however. Is that the connection on top of the fuel filter that goes to the top of the fuel tank? I assume that allows air to come out of the filter to the tank?

Does the lift pump look wet with fuel, could be leaking. What fuel filter did you use? IF a NAPA brand did you lay the top o ring on top of the filter instead of IN the housing? Very common to do that. How bad did the old filter look? The fuel filter housing is fairly bullet proof provided the filter was installed correctly with new gaskets. If it all checks out then a rebuild of the pump may be in your future:-(
Dieseltech is the one to contact.

Check the lift pump to see if it has a plugged strainer in the top of it if you have not done that.
It is often the first place that removes trash from the fuel.

I am not sure of the brand on the filter but it isn t NAPA/WIX. It had the multiple holes on the top instead of just the four outside openings.
