So, been doing some reading and certain compact tractors do not have a frame and have issues. Some breaking transmission and other parts because of stress
Anyone have a good choice for a 10-year old or so 40-55hp tractor? Also want a loader on it. Thanks!!!

Some breaking transmission and other parts
because of stress.

Some tractors don't hold up to loaders and
backhoes. I can't attach a backhoe on this
tractor because it has a cab.

I'm impressed with how much it can lift.

Cabs are nice but you will need to trim trees. It
takes 8 ft of clearance. Cabs are a little noisy.

Does size really matter? This loader/backhoe is only 20 hp.

You may want to consider getting a backhoe too. This trench is 150 ft. I ran power from my house to the pole barn.

I recently installed a 50 ft water line. The contractor wanted $1000 to dig a trench and put a water line in the trench. All materials cost me under $100.

A backhoe is very useful too.

A man digs graves with his Kubota backhoe.
His is backhoe the biggest B series Kubota.
My Kubota is the smallest L series.

It's not only the tractor you buy, your local dealer support is priceless. I only have one great local dealer, Kubota.

My 2019 L3560 kubota has particle filter.

If you want to avoid DEF, some smaller diesels may have particle filters like mine.

I have a Kubota L4850 it has a 5 cyl .
48 HP
what a Power Machine
Kubota did not make them long.
Not sure why
But a excellent tractor

Buy a utility tractor, forget the compact. Too much power to weight and you break things. Get a utility farm tractor. A few more
dollars, but well worth it.

Very very few tractors of any size since the early fifties have a frame. That is probably not an effective comparison criterion.

Absolutely love my Kubota L4060. Loader, QT forks and bucket. No cab because I drive around in trees a lot. 39hp and about 8000# with loader and loader rears,
4wd, hydrostat (bad left knee). Much nicer to drive than the old Case 430 which now is pretty much on rototiller duty.

For serious small farm use a Kubota MX5xxx series looks like a great machine. they were just a bit bigger than I needed.
