9030 bi-directional

Any thoughts on these tractors? Seem to be very handy with the hydrostatic trany and 4 wheel drive. It is a 1992 model, if that makes a difference. Thanks in advanced.

They make a handy utility/loader tractor. The drive train is not meant to pull hard. Biggest downside to me is having to remove the loader to use the hitches that would normally be on the back of a tractor.

My brother has one. He loves it. He has said it is the handiest tractor he has ever owned however he as also said that it requires the most maintenance of any tractor he has ever owned. They dont make them anymore, I suppose because most farmers opted to buy 2 tractors to to the same job as one bi-directional.

They are a very handy tractor and great at doing many jobs, neat loader tractor, but it's not good for much else with loader mounted. If you can run skidsteer loader the 9030 controls are much more familiar.

Personally I'd pass. Two many hoses and shafts in the pivot point combined with seat reversal
