new square balers

Line? There are really only two models anymore. They're consolidating because hardly anyone buys a new small square baler anymore. The only operations that are buying them new are the fancy custom hay producers that make hay for million-dollar racing horses.

These new balers look like a "throwback" design going by the style of hitch.

NH has already discontinued their haybines and bar rakes.

Unless you're talking about LARGE square balers...

Not sure what it has to do with the original question, but New Holland still makes and sells haybines.

My BIL had a newer John Deere and finally got tired of fighting it and bought a new New Holland two years ago. He is officially retired from his teaching jobs and now farms full time. I joked how he has better machinery now that he is not pressed for time to get things done after dark while the daylight hours were at work. He said It was all paid for then, its all paid for now.

Good balers - the gold standard. They really havent done much new in a while, the 2 models and they have worked right for a long time. Big volume small squares is kind of a slow market these days. Folk doing a modest amount can get a good used model for a lot less money, I didnt think they sell that many new any more.

A lot of folk like the inline small squares balers, are they Heston heritage? Several companies sell them?

If you have any need for a lot of hay yourself you will put your money in a round or big square baler and deal with the volume of hay that way.

Reselling hay to lots and lots of horse folk is about whats left for a new high dollar small square baler?
