Home made fuel filter for my 4010 kaw
mule.
See if you can tell what silver pipe I
used

I removed it today and cleaned the screen.
The pipe fits the tank fill spout.

I don't know the diameter of the hole it goes in so my guess is a shower spout.

You got it right, sink tail pipe. It fits perfectly.
My idea of keeping the crap out of the gas tank on the mule.
I removed some grass clippings from the screen today.

I have a funnel with a very fine screen, that works for me.

I have 3 metal funnels with metal screens.
It is difficult to use a funnel on the mule.
Hold the funnel with one hand and good luck holding a 5 gallon gas can with the other hand.

The other problem with using a funnel is you can't tell how much fuel is in the tank. I have seen fuel tanks with an inlet screen like yours from the factory.

I keep a length of wire on larger funnels to wire it to the machine while filling, keeps both hands on buckets, especially oil buckets.

I take it you leave that filtering sump pipe in all the time?

Does the screen filter out water like some?
