I saw this in the local western wear and boot shop. It looks like a work in progress.

looks like a 54 Chev cab on a newer 1 ton frame maybe???? I say 54 because I had a 53 it did not have the chrome grill fins. Maybe someone with a keener more knowledgeable mind will straighten me out. gobble

Dandy western wear in Sweetwater Tx. Used to meet tool pushers at the TA. Exchange weight indicators, down hole clocks and other miscellaneous drilling equipment.

54s had a one-piece windshield. 51/52 had push button door handles and wing vents in the doors. Chrome grills were optional

With the rails in the back, that truck would be a good truck for spotlighting rabbits. That truck is about the right year. A few rabbits can do a lot of damage to a bean crop. I remember Dad and a couple other farmers would drive around the bean fields, in a pickup, with a powerful light and shoot rabbits. They would come back with a pile of rabbits. Dad would sometimes clean the rabbits, and Mom would cook them. Stan

My Dad had a 1949 chevy truck which had a cab like that one. Three windows in the back of the cab and no vent windows in the door.

I learned to drive in a 49 with that cab, it was a 3/4 ton with 216 engine. 7:00x17 tires. Was in family from time it was 3 months old untill 1976 when could no longer get brake parts. I understand the 3 window cab was a delux cab that was optional.

Where did you find that many rabbits? Not here in Ohio. If you would try to go rabbit hunting you were lucky if you could find 2-3 rabbits and get a shot at one and probably miss.
