cheap diesel injectors- are there any good ones?

I have a New Holland LS555 deluxe skid steer with a Kubota V1902 engine. Due to on overheat event, I'm pretty sure that I have one or more injector that was damaged. When it starts, I get a
nasty sounding knock that goes away in 15-30 seconds. A few have suggested it is a fuel knock- like an injector spring got weak and is letting too much fuel in until it warms up.

ANYWAY- on ebay I see MANY options for injectors for this engine. Prices range from $66 for 4 to $115, $130, $150. I have requested quotes from several parts dealers for OEM injectors and
I'm waiting for pricing.

Question is- do any of you have experience with the cheaper injectors that are available? I think all are made in China. I'm looking for actual experience, not just everything cheap from
China is crap with no evidence.

Could be good, OR not. I tested some last week for his Kubota mower engine that he bought awhile back and they worked fine. The injectors you have can also be repaired with new nozzle tips and reset, making them like new again. You have one that's sticking open at first start, then frees up. I doubt they need springs as those seldom give trouble like the tips do.
The Stanadyne/Roosa pencil injectors I'd stay away from the no name brands as I've seen the brazed area crack/leak fuel after a few hours use sometimes, making them scrap.

Was wondering if you could help in another issue?
ASV PT100 fuel injector leak, needs new seals.
Are they hard to pull out?
Am in a rural area, difficult to get anyone here
Thanks

I have a great diesel shop here in Fort Wayne, In. They have rebuilt many injectors for me. Do you have a diesel shop near buy? If not you could ship them to a good shop. I would do that before buying cheap injectors.

Think I need new seals, looks Like fuel coming from weep hole on injector pump.
Got a place about two hours drive away.
Was hoping to pull it out myself, never done it before.
Got any advice? Is it a difficult job?
Cheers

Needed injectors for a Case 451 turbo engine. Had to remove one head and pound one out. Went to my usual diesel shop and asked price. $165 apiece for the pencil injectors plus 100 extra for the one I ruined by pounding it out. So 6 at 165 plus a extra 100 for the missing core...$1090. Ordered 6 same number stamped on them as Case originals...$240. Work absolutely fantastic. I know these shops need to make a profit but it is my money.

So far, so good. I bought the cheap injectors for my 2140 JD through A&I. Made in China and they were about 1/3 of the price John Deere was asking for theirs. Its been almost a
year and are working fine. I did it myself at home with a little help from a shop manual and some videos on youtube. I made a video of my own for future reference in case I have to do it again.

Yes to your question. Reliance has worked fine for most of the pencil injectors I need. At 26 bucks a pop Im not sure of the country of origin but Id bet its not here. They are cheap enough I dont bother buying a seal kit and putting them back if its not something I own personally and am willing to fiddle with it. I cant justify the 15 minutes of my time billed to someone else to not have a fresh one in if I think theres a problem. Not arguing with those who would call it part of a throw away parts changer society and kind of the opposite of what most of us on here do where we should go grab the pop off tester and check the pattern while playing with the lighter but its a higher rate of success at a faster speed it seems.

OK you asked for EXPERIENCE years of KUBOTA experience and since I have retired lots of engine work. On that engine the china knock off heads and injectors' are just a crap shoot . IO have had folks use them and get service out of them. Question is how much service or how long do they last. I am wondering if you have injector problem. That start up knock is most likely when it got hot cracked the head around the precup and you have water on top of the piston causing the knock. At least that is my experience. Most bade injectors cause blue/grey smoke and weak or no fire cylinder.

It does have blue/gray smoke when it is starting. Then it cleans up.
I guess a compression check would yield some info. I may do that before buying injectors.
I have found Zexel injectors for 228 shipped for 4. Actual Japanese OEM ones.
