The older I get!

The older I get, the more I wish I could
eliminate background noises using noise cancelation tech. I want to eliminate the noise in the
cab of my Kubota and eliminate road noise when I drive to
Florida.

Are there any earbuds that will do just that,
eliminate background noises. What I'm seeing are
earbuds that eliminate noises when linked to
bluetooth phone calls.

I want background noise eliminated.
What do you use to eliminate noise and at the
same time be able to talk to a person and
understand what they are saying?

I have a headset like that.
I would like them in earbuds.
Cops would likely stop me if I'm wearing headphones. And after a while I don't like headphones.

Cops may think earbuds are hearing aids and not give it a second thought.

I'm thinking of earbuds that if they fall out of my ear, I won't lose them.

Not sure if these will work without being linked to a phone.

I wonder if she comes with the earbuds?
At my age, I better concentrate on earbuds only.

I use these running the lawnmower. They bluetooth to your phone and are hearing protection. What I like is they also have fairly strong magnets in them. When I don't want them in my ears the ends clip together and hang on you like a necklace. They're called Isotunes. Is this what you are thinking about? Even with the battery completely dead and not hooked to my phone they still work as hearing protection. They make multiple different styles.

On Ohio I believe it's illegal to wear them while driving for the simple fact that you won't hear the emergency equipment as early as you should

Most road noise is from the tire tread. The courser or bigger lugs on a tire the more noise they make. Like snow tires are noisier than tires you would run in the summer. IF you have tires with tread going in rings around the tire they will be quieter than tread that has blocks or like a knobby on a motorcycle. Then the insulation package in the vehicle will make a big difference in road noise and the surface of the road is another place of road noise. Smooth surfaced roads will not have as much noise as rougher surfaces will. If you drive slower it helps to. As for all the other things like those buds I don't know a thing about them.

So what do you recommend for noise cancelling earbuds?

I need something for the Kubota cab too.

I'm in Iowa, but I always seem to remember from drivers ed that using headphones or earbuds for a driver was against the law, but I could be wrong. I see a lot of drivers wearing Ipods so I don't know.

The most effective noise cancellers and comfortable for me I found on ebay with pink plugs and blue lanyard. They cancel all audio entering your down at least 90dB. If you want to converse you can partially install them (they have ridges that form dead air spaces when pushed all the way in), and they drop the sound 30dB or so....enough to hear a person sitting next to you yet drop the background to a tolerable level.
