I'm a new owner of a 404 Farmall Tractor. My tractor have the tricycle wheels in the front (about a 1963). Can someone tell me where to pour my hydraulic fluid inside the tractor and how do I check my hydraulic fluid? I use to be able to rise my bush hog up and down and I am no longer able to. My tractor have been sitting up for a while but now I need it to start bush hogging. Can someone help me?

i am not that familiar with the 404, but it dont take me long to find out what to do when i start inspecting things. look for an oil level
check plug on the left side by clutch area. look for the fill plug somewhere around between your legs maybe the gear shift. it cant be that
hard. do you know what oil to use? if it has a T.A. then it would be hytran oil. just giving some info cause no one else has and your
itching to get mowing.

Hello d12og welcome to YT! I am also not familiar with
that model. Hopefully someone familiar with it will
chime in. I would suggest you acquire an Operators
Manual for your tractor, in the link is the manual
offered by YT. If you are okay with a PDF version there
are companies on the web that provide these. Search
..Farm Tractor manuals.. the one I would suggest has
..fast.. in their name.
YT Farmall 404 operators manual

i have a 504 the 404 may be different look for a plug on the operators platform that has a square indent a 3/4 drive extension and breaker bar or
ratchet should fit to remove it
