Farmall Super C casting number

Super C letters would be W,X,Y,Z. It's not entirely impossible that it could be somewhat illegible or may be a later casting for a replacement part i.e. there's a C169 skeleton block here that is a P. That engine first came out in 1955 with the 300, which would have made it an A. Don't know how long those blocks were used in equipment, either.

You might want to search for more codes.

(quoted from post at 20:04:51 09/16/23) N is 1944, which predates the C and Super C tractors.

Yes, and it is unlikely that someone scavenged a casting off an A or a B, because there's enough different from the A/B to the C that almost none of the castings will work with the C/Super C features.

Could also be 1967 I suppose, off of a 404.

Neither helps date the tractor. Look for some more casting codes and get an average.
