Have a 2240 jd been working on for two years can not find right piston and liners for it the bore is 4.53 inch any body know where I could find this

Deere list kits for both the early and late model 2240. $264 for sleeve and piston set. You will need three.
The also list a cheaper after market one for the early tractors. Did you check this site? Tom

no the plate is missing the regular block that came out of tractor throw a rod this is the block I got to replace it the bore is smaller on this block

Maybe worth looking for a 173 block ?
4.19" X 4.33" dimensions .

Are you measuring the bore of the liner or the bore in the block the liner fits into? It sounds like you have a 152 or 164 block, not a 179 block. Your 4.53 bore measurement is big for any of those liner bores but looks like it could be the block bore, the liners fit into, for the 152 or 164. It sounds small for the 179 which has a 4.19 liner bore.
