Had a farmall C while growing up the
sediment bowl was towards the front of the
tank if you were kinda low on fuel and
went up a long steep hill you ran out of
gas.

The gas thing sounds like My dad. It costs just as much to run on the top half the tank as the bottom half and you don't run out of fuel that way. I tend to just fill things before going to the field that way no out of fuel problem. After all it takes so much just to do a job and it's already in the tank you drive by on the way to the field. Poor old C.
