Deere breaking

This original Deere Breaking plow was rescued from an old shed last year. It is in relatively good condition however it is missing the front gauge wheel. I cant find much on the web for information outside of the typical chronology from civil war to 19teens. Does anybody have any information on Deere breaking plows? Mecum had one listed, but I seem to get a bit of run around on the site.

I cannot tell if it has the bracket for the wheel or not> If no bracket it may not of had a wheel at any time depending on the hitch height to keep it at correct depth.

I seen just the other day that john Deere built their last plow.

The pictures are bad but it does have the bracket and spindle. Im guessing the wheel got broken and likely removed.

Does the writing say Deere Prairie Plow? I can't make out the last word.
