MF 245 orchard tractor

When the tractor is shut off the three point hitch slowly lowers itself. Is there something simple, like and o ring,
that can solve this problem. I do have a shop manual but I can't find anything in it that addresses that problem. Other than that issue the hydraulics work great and the three point hitch is strong.

That is kind of normal, when it's all the way up how long does it take to drop all the way down.

If there is nothing on the hitch it's pretty slow. with my 800 lb mower it's a matter of minutes. Thanks for responding.

That's pretty normal, if it fell in a matter of seconds with nothing on it then it's a problem.

My TO-35 drops steady under no load. My JD tractors all stay up, even under load.
