Ferguson to-30 temp gauge

My new temp gauge won't work, not even a little bit. Doesn't come off the peg. Bought online new and installed a thermostat in the upper hose as required. Before I buy another gauge I would like to entertain and electric gauge, using a separate sender and gauge. Has anyone done this successfully and if so any particulars about the sender and gauge would be appreciated.
Thanks much.

Too bad your bulb type gauge was bad. Years ago I got a direct fit with a generic bulb type from NAPPA. Bulb types rock. Anyway, Sender types also
work, if you match gauge V to your (6V????) tractor POLARITY MAY MATTER! ask vender. Wire it on with ign., but don't rob from your coil. Do as you
like if you buy back-lit. I vote bulb type- same price- your tractor!

Thanks, much for the input. I'm OK with a bulb type as they've been working fine for a long time, but I would like one that will fit my thermo-well properly and I can't find any information on which gauge assembly would work best with my Fergi 30. There must be a "plug and play" available, but weeding through the thousands of choices on Ebay and Amazon, it seems like a crap shoot. Any particular bulb type recommended from anyone?
Thanks

Never mind, I found the sales pages, but no temp gauges there for Fergy 30
I'll keep trying.
