happening here too - again. i stopped using this site for around a year because this same thing. it resumed working right for a few months, but now it's started again.
 
Much depends on the source. My system is connected to 5G and is near instantaneous. (not bragging, just indicating that it might not be YT) Jim
 
if our connections were consistently slow with this and/or other sites, you'd have a good point.

but i have been using YT for 8 years on the same ISP. the results are inconsistent - *most* of the time, the site loads fast. and i can't speak for showcrop, but no other sites i use regularly are loading much more slowly than normal for me. this was the case as well during the year i referred to in my previous post.

five different people here with the same issue, and i am quite sure we don't all use the same ISP.
 


Well it appears to me that between HFJ's and Janicholson's posts the problem was corrected.

indeed, loading normally here again too :)

my best guess is there's a router somewhere downstream of YT's server hosts with recurring issues. the closer to the server(s), the more people would be affected, and the farther, fewer.

another possibility is that the website is hosted on multiple servers, and one of them has issues occasionally, but that would be a lot easier to spot.
