200-300+ HP Tractors with Creeper

We are currently thinking on how to go about a higher HP tractor with a creeper that can run sub 1MPH
It is for pulling a rock crusher/mulcher and we do not use a 3 pt on our bigger tractors so this would be a dedicated machine.
Been a bit of a roadblock as there are not many for sale and it seems adding a creeper as a DIA in an older tractor is also a challenge.
They are also not common in WI/MN
Anyone know of any older tractors that can have a creeper added or come with a creeper in that HP range? I know many of the Case and JD's can have a creeper but not had much luck getting a dealer to tell me what the installation and parts would be.

There is a Roadbuilding Machine, basically an oversize rototiller, used in roadbuilding that would do what you state. Maybe purchase one of those for your purpose.

No answer to your Question.
In 1960 my dad was looking for a tractor with
most PTO Hp and had a Creeper gear.

The Ford 6000 was the only thing he could find.
Which was the only new tractor my dad owned.
The Ford 6000 first generation SOS was my dad's
biggest regret.

Good luck. Let us know what you find.

In my opinion, the Fendt CVT system is the most
elegant design that fits your needs. Other AGCO
brands might now have access to this design.

Maybe substitute tracks in place of the rear tires to reduce the ground speed? Some 1990s Case-IH articulated 4WD tractors that pulled dirt scrapers had individual tracks instead of dual tires on each corner.

Will most of the HP go to the PTO shaft or do you need to put all 200-300 HP to the drawbar at under 1 MPH? Weighting it down enough to get traction to pull 50,000 to 100,000 pounds of drawbar pull could severely over-strain the drive train of most ag tractors and wreck them fast. That may be why the dealers are reluctant to help.

Missed that you are looking for an older tractor. Many
older tractors (pre- CVT) were offered with a creeper
gear option, but the option was not selected often, so
they are a bit rare. As far as a retrofit, dont count on
it. Its best just to find that rare option from the
factory. Tractordate.com has a decent listing of
transmission options, so you can see what tractor
models were offered with a creeper option.

I would think if you put smaller tires on it would slow you down a lot if you change sizes enough. I'm more interested in the stone crusher.Does it go plow layer deep or just do the surface? If just the surface what happens after the first year of tillage all the stone in the plow layer is still there to deal with. Looks nice on the top but down a few inches and they're still there. What keeps them from just spitting out the back whole?

Could just rent a tractor for this job annually and save the purchase cost. Would be cheaper than the interest on the purchased tractor. Most older 4WD's will not have a PTO so now your into things like the 4850Deere or a 7140IH even some of the Agco options Then you are into just a 2wheel drive with at best MFWD on it. IF that matters the 7140 will idle down to about .4 MPH but wot is more like about 1.2or1.3 and this is with 42's on it if you dropped back to 38's or even 34's it would slow you down quite a bit or look for mudders from the truck farming areas. They would be on some big tall tires so could easily slow it down with shorter tires on them. Could you just pull the tractro running it with another tractro so you would be able to use the throttle for slower travel? Yup it would be a pain but could work.

Seen that and the ultra deep single furrow ploughs in Greece vineyards and olive Groves .
The rock is relatively soft sedimentary rock, not hard blue granite igneous rocks and the like .
Given the amount of dust drawn into the air filter. The operator should be attempting to work into head winds and with cross winds only .

You could look to the jockeys that bring in European used
tractors, many of them have creeper speeds.

If this is for a single time job, might be best to pony up
and get a tractor with a CVT/IVT. Do the job, then sell it to
recoup the capital.
