I worked for this company, for 11 years in the 1960s to the early 1970's and knew this place well. I spent a year in here then moved on to the field service vans. This picture is from the late 1940's and some of the men in it were still there when I arrived and the parts trolleys and overhead cranes were in constant use.

I like these old repair shops. I think it is a shame that they are or have in my area disappeared. Every old service station has been turned into a store of some kind. No where for young folks now to get a job and learn a trade except serve food.
