Need connecting rods 11.5" center to center

I'm looking for a set of 4 connecting rods with a center to center distance of 11.5". I can modify the big end and small end widths, so that isn't as important as the center to center. Are there any old tractors that used that length of connecting rods?

Are you a GOOD welder? Cummins 855 rods are 12
inches center. Lol. You should probably give some
range of the diameter of the crank pin and piston pins.
You could try looking to see if there are C to C specs in
a Mahle engine parts catalog. I would guess they
supply rebuilt or new connecting rods. They are a
parts supplier of many of the engine rebuilders like the
ones that rebuild short and long blocks available in an
auto parts store. The catalogs are fairly large PDFs you
have to download. I am not going to do that just to tell
you if the specs are in there or not.

I have the AERA database and the only thing in there is Detroit Diesel connecting rods, which are way too big. The crank journal is 1.550", so something bigger than that, but not 4" lol.

This is for an early 1900s Beaver engine.

I was told a Minneapolis Moline U or UB connecting rod might be the size I'm looking for, but can't get confirmation.

Do you have a machine shop checking your crank, block and head? If so ask them to get them for you. My guy can find very hard to find parts.

We have a guy custom making billet rods for us. He could probably come up with what you need but would be speedy going that route.

When I worked in an automotive machine shop we worked on restoration of early 1900's opposed cylinder
engine and needed connecting rods for it. We got in touch with Egge Machine, I believe they are
located in California, and gave them the spec's of the crankshaft and sent them one of the original
rods and they modified/shortened a set of rods to fit our application. They did a very nice job. I
have no connection to this company, just impressed with their work. I believe they have a large
inventory of NOS parts also.

Hello jekeys welcome to YT! I was kidding about the
Cummins rods and welding or at least partly. In the
attached post from the YT tractor pulling forum the
last reply by VicS talks about welding two different
rods together to make what he needed. I am going to
say that NOT ALL, but the majority of automotive and
actually probably all connecting rods built since the
1960s are forged steel. Forged steel is very weldable.

I have had several sets of custom connecting rods machined before, just doing some homework before I go that route again.

I thought about checking with hit & miss page, but figured I wouldn't be able to get a set of 4 matching rods.
