Staying dry here and now getting hot the last few days. Well into the 80s today and hotter tomorrow. We are better off than some but still seeing crop damage on the high and sandy spots. I took a few pictures this morning.

Corn and beans wilting around me. The gravel veins are looking so dry you could crunch the leaves.

Some other spots things still look good to tho.

Been cool the past week, helped the crop look that good. The Canadian smoke has kept some of the heat down too, permanent overcast this year.

This week into the upper 90s. It might look pretty tough in a week.

The smoky skies has probably helped us a bit too. Its been a long smoky summer. Got bit of drone video showing just how thin some of those burnt areas in the wheat are. A lot more foxtail showing up from above too. Hard to believe this field has washouts and dead spots from the huge downpour of June 2 and 3.
