Working on improving the kingdom

Have to paint the house and garage across the driveway this year. Started on the garage this weekend. For some reason the garage has cedar siding on 3 sides and pine on the east. The paint was the best on the east side, but when I hit it with the pressure washer I found the paint was all that was holding the siding on. Lol. So anyway, the east side got new siding on Saturday.

I did have some help to. She's pretty handy to have around.

When they built thus shed they must have just used what ever they had, the west side corners where finished with those metal clips that cover the corners. The east side was finished with a 2 vertical board on the corner, a 2x4 on the north corner and a 2x8 on the south. Lol. Had to replace those as well as one of the eve boards. But it's ready for paint now. Can't decide on a color, what are your recommendations? Leaning towards light blue or yellow with white trim. Was white th blue trim.

Considered that, sprayed some of the yellow on the shed before siding it to see what it looked like. Was pretty bold for a house.

Just to say, I live in a house built in 1890. As I renovate different areas I am flabbergasted by what and how it got built. The guys apparently didnt have a level, square, string line or plumb bob. Stud spacing between the corner posts varies from 14 to 17 inches. The house is 130 years old so you cant argue with success of longevity but these guys got creative with everything. Trying to make it square and fit modern lumber and plywood sizes takes 3x longer and makes a bunch of waste. I feel your pain.

With the off center ridge line, (and window) maybe that shed is a portion of some other building and it got moved to it's current location?
The pine siding covered where the original was part of another building.

Is the frame work on that wall different than the rest?
