!903 Ivel tractor made in Bedfordshire, England, by Dan Albone. Dan was a racing cyclist who made bicycles and got into tractor production. The Ivel was exported world wide and got a very good name. Dan used to demonstrate the tractor by harvesting a field of wheat, carting it, threshing it, grinding it, ploughing the stubble and making bread for all the spectators all in one day with the same tractor.

He died at an early age of 46 and the tractor manufacturing business lasted a few years but, without his inputs, finished around 1920. Around five or six tractors still exist, one in England and one in Australia for certain.

Streamlined to cut down on wind resistance(just kidding), or better visibility, maybe? Good concept.

Was that the one they sold recently Mat? It had a special wide front wheel. Did not get as much for it as they thought it was worth, the one in the video was sold recently and made 135,000.00 English pounds. Do not think the Aussie one made half that.

Hello Majorman

Not sure on the sale of the Ivel, lot of years since I have seen it. I do remember it having a wide front wheel. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
