PTO locked up

After I bought this tractor I was told that the PTO was locked up. Is there an easy way to find out where it's locked up at?

Sure. Take the engine out and set aside. Remove rear wheels and set aside. Take the front axle off and set aside. Remove transmission and set aside. Remove center column and set aside. Advertise in local paper for parts and sell it. If you cant tell what tractor you are working with, we cant either. Appears you do not really need one.

No need to ridicule the man, he is asking for help. Explain that to give any kind of advice you need to know what he is working on.

Sorry. If a person post for help and does not have the ability to tell what they are working on they do not need it. Just like posting a question such as i need a windshield for my pick up. Does anyone have one? In this day and age i seems that common sense is not common anymore.

he has the ability, as he's demonstrated on other threads. maybe he got distracted. maybe you should spend less time looking for reasons to be hostile to a stranger who has done you no harm, and making rules for who is allowed to own a tractor. common sense? how about civility?
