What's the best way to get Skip Laurel clippings to root?

I used the rooting powder but a low percentage of the clippings formed roots?

Has to be a special way to do it to get better results

Help would be greatly appreciated

Are you stripping all but 2 of the leaves and cutting them in half? What mix are you using?

Yes 2 cut in half leaves from new growth

Pro mix one year
Mulch/topsoil mix another year - mostly mulch

2 nd year used the box method wrapped in stretch plastic

The box method seemed easier. Just plant and leave for 2 months
