1086 injection pump Electric shut off??

Bought a 1086 that a guy said he put pump from a combine, It runs fine has lotza snort but cant shut fuel off to stop, There is a line from bottom of pump up to a round piece about the size of a d cell battery that has a spot for a electric wire that is not there, what am I missing here?
 
A photo would help, if the electric solenoid is working it NEEDS to be hot to run. Solenoid MIGHT have the plunger and spring removed to run without current to the solenoid. The solenoid is VERY expensive, so most owners I know just back out the low idle screw an stop engine with the throttle lever.
 
Have the same thing on my 1066. Came with the combine engine I had put in it a year ago.

Hooked up to the key. You had to get out and tap it to get it to shut off at first, but since I've run a ton of Stanadyne Lubricity Formula through it (i.e. a full bottle good for 120 gallons in a 2/3 tank of fuel) it works as it should.

Agreed, hot is on. If there's no wire it's either stuck or purposely rigged to be open.
 
Thanks for the info guy's If I was going to slow down the idle where would I find this screw? This machine is new to me so not to familiar with the set up of things.
 
Hi. I posted an issue with a 1995 Fiat Allis FD 5 a few weeks ago. A reply suggested I contact you. If you can find that post, it details the issue. Seems like the injector pump, governor, or throttle body as I called it must be fowled with something. I can give more details. And have a picture if I can find a way to send it. No turbo, 4- cylinder, air cleaner clean, fuel filters new, good fuel. Runs, then slows to idle and stops, after 20 minutes or an hour. Very black smoke. Throttle linkage all working fine.
