Puzzle site question....

How does it operate? Do I just upload a pic? What's the file size limit?? I have some pics in RAW that are over a GB each. Are the photos public or can I do a private link just to the forum here? Don't know that I want every Tom, Dick & Harry stealing my stuff. Not looking to do anything tonight anymore. Just curious for future reference.

And, no, I won't be a mean about it. Though I do have a bunch of pictures that would drive people bats!! :v)

Not as bad as the one puzzle my ex had.

An iridescent silver circle.... 1000 pieces of pure insanity.... & she finished it in a WEEK!!

Shoot, I just looked at the box & said, Yep, here, aaaaaaaalllll yours!!.

I use this site and find it easy to use and adjust the size and shape of the pieces.

https://www.jigsawplanet.com/

Picture I use are JPEG format, do not make them too complicated, users like around 125 to 150 pieces on here, just enough for a bit of a brain workout.

Puzzles will be on a public site so be careful what you load, I have had pictures used on other sites or stolen after I have posted here or on other web sites. I do not mind usually unless they try and sell them and I have had that happen. So puzzles might go elsewhere but I have had no indication of that. My puzzles are open so please browse if you like.

first, to KCM - hope you are doing ok. we are all with you here.

to AMF, and anyone else who has filled in - thanks.

everything you post there is public. this site is public, so even if they supported private puzzles there, posting the link HERE would scuttle that ship. (mayyyybe if you posted links to a private collection on tractor tales? definitely, a link posted on this board is public.)

the link below is to their upload page. i have a feeling they have no size limits and will simply resize an image to meet their needs if necessary. i've been playing my collection of Karakoram and Himalaya pics, some of which are pretty big, and they haven't said anything yet.

as a retired coder, i'm so happy i never had to try to maintain a hybrid setup like the classic/modern view here, and also happy that its days are numbered. the mismatched blocklists and the systems they use are one of the more noticeable manifestations. i shudder to think of what all else has to go on behind the scenes to keep the two setups on speaking terms with one another.

Hi and thanks for the reply. I have a problem, I've had before, the last time this link was posted. First line is a url or web address for the pic. My pics are stored on my computer in a jpg format which, of course, does not work. If I post a pic to the site, the web address is the site. I'm lost - Help

If you want a private puzzle buy the right software and make one. If you post it here you have wasted your time on privacy - this site is public. You dont have to be a rocket surgeon to figure that out for yourself.

No problems loading images direct from the computer. Just choose 'Upload Photo' below. No hosting site needed.

What you have to do is right click on the image here on YT and then go to the jigsawexplorer site and paste that url in. Then click create the jigsaw and its done. Then you just share the link from jigsaw explorer here or anywhere else you care to share it.

It works exactly the same as posting on here. When I post on the site I use it says 'Create' I just open the picture on my computer, the picture code appears in the 'image' box, I select 'difficulty', 'pieces' and other things like 'tags' and 'title' then one click on the lower 'create' and I have a puzzle.
