I hope these pic show up. I am ready to get something going.

Your first two photos appear to show the tractor I.D. plate still attached the casting in the area behind the clutch housing, is it not readable?

that silver serial number tag on the right side has the info u want to know. we cant read it anyhow.

clean that silver tag in 2nd picture its in middle of chassis.take a very close picture of it where we can read the numbers. it looks like the smallest brit ihc like 354 im thinking as rear wheels represent what a 354 came with.
ive been wrong before too

Not 424 or 2424 - they have no cut out in the hood like that and the side panels are different. I would guess a newer version of those like a 444, 454, 464?
Tim

That is an IH Bradford, UK built 444 or 354 depending if it has a BD-154 or BD-144 engine. The engine number should be stamped on the right side of the block on a raised machined surface just up to right of top of oil filter holder and by hydraulic pumps.
You either live in Canada or that tractor was imported into the USA from Canada as it was not a crate unit assembled in Louisville, KY,USA as it has the UK/Canadian dual hydraulic pumps and the PS steering cylinder on the left side. It will also have the dreaded Lucas electric system but by now the Lucas parts have probably been replaced by Delco.
Report back with the engine number BD-154 or BD-144. The other difference the 444 usually had 14.9x28 rear tires and the 354 had 13.6x28 tires.

Thanks JimB2 that was a lot of help. I found the numbers and it is a 354. So now I will be looking for a steering box . If I cannot find one I am going to sell it.
Have a Blessed Day.
