Cancer won after a short battle.

My wife of 45 years lost to cancer at about 9:15 PM MDT. She felt a little ill starting about the middle of December. Cancer was diagnosed about mid-January. Chemo helped for a few weeks. Radiation didn't help on what chemo wasn't getting. Hospice was started on Sunday. The end was painless (with drugs) and peaceful. Our faith makes it easier.

I understand your pain. This past February my wife of 50 years died of a brain tumor. It was less than 6 weeks from diagnosis to passing. Surgeon went in but said too much damage was already done. Choice of putting her through the torture of chemo and maybe get 6 months or keep her comfortable and get maybe 1 or 2 but the end would be the same. I chose the latter.
