Just pulled one out, did not realize I had them. Any tricks to driving in the new one? Recommendations?

Find a 1/4 inch drive socket that will fit over the ball and stop at the shoulder of the fitting. Put an extension on the socket and hammer it in.

Take 2 ball peen hammers and make a small burr on the inside of the hole... this will give back some of the original press fit and something for the barbs to grab... or make a bottoming tap and thread it 1/4-28.

Yes, you might want to come waTCH ,,,,,, This is under a fender, about 3 inches space, and I have to lay flat ..... it's gonna be fun.
Wait.... maybe I can bore a hole in the fender, drive the fitting vertcally down.

They make a special drive-in device. Looks like an oversized grease gun nozzle. About one good rap with a hammer.

And all grease fitting holes are way to hard for a tap to cut. I tried that and found out it was not possible.

Forged in when casting was made, you will only find them in castings and not steel. The casting is designed to be a part or whole of the bearing.
