Gotta love a "run what ya brung" event. I'm probably in the minority here, but speed, noise, and smoke does nothing for me. Thanks for sharing!!

One of the first jobs I got after school was driving tractor for a neighbour and it was a triple 4 like that one in the photo. Real armstrong steering on that one if I let the wheel go to full lock. It was hard to straighten out. Some years later my brother bought a farm that included a triple 4 Massey.

My dad's first Massey was a 1947 44-6. Then he got a 1954 44 Special. His last one was
a 444 Diesel, row crop, wide front. Chopped a lot of sileage, and plowed with a 3 bottom.
Was joined by a JD 4020 in 1967. I think he went up to 5 bottoms.
My show tractor is a 1949 44 narrow front. Have a mate to it awaiting rescue.

we got winners, we got losers, chain smokers and boosers, but i love this track. come as you are , its not far.

My wife pulls a 961D. Does quite well with it. Sounds like a large displacement sewing machine going down the track.

me either,.. its got to be just an old tractor tuned up good and watch them do what they should. that smoke, noise and spinning means
nothing to me, i like my tractor to have traction and satisfaction.

funny thing is find a tractor sitting unused for years, bring it home get it running tune it up basically no money spent on it and go pulling. when i got there the one guy was bragging up his straight massey 44, said i got 6500.00 in the engine, and said its putting out 60 h.p. i just thought to myself we will soon see. then he is the first to pull and goes half way down the track and spins out. let them john deere D's pull then i hook up and go. went right through their ruts and drug it to the end. that was priceless. lol.

Is there a hitch height limit set for that tractor pull?

If you have a photo of the sled I would like to see that as well if you can.
